Improvise is the 1st episode of Season 3 in the remake version of MacGyver.

Synopsis

Three months after quitting the Phoenix Foundation and moving to Nigeria, Mac puts aside his differences with his father and returns when he hears Jack is the target of a murderous dictator he double-crossed.

Plot

SPOILERS

• Angus MacGyver has a new love interest in Nasha.
• His dad arrives Nigeria, Africa and tells Mac, Jack is in trouble.
• Jack Dalton is undercover, trying to get back diamonds he doesn't know the CIA already have.
• Mac working with his father to save Jack
• Mac's dad (oversight) is kidnapped and Mac has to chose between saving Jack or capturing the bad guy and saving his dad
• Mac gets a secret phone and Jill Morgan answers it.

• This episode takes place in Nigeria, Africa, Russia and Belarus, while Cairo and China were both mentioned.
• Jonah Walsh was mentioned, but did not appear.
