Matilda Webber is the current Director of Operations of The Phoenix Foundation and has an impressive CIA background. It was revealed that her husband, Ethan Raines, went on an undercover mission in 2010.
Early Life
Appearence
Standing at 120 cm Matilda is the shortest main character in the series. With her height similar to children (although there are other children who are taller than her). However, she has slender and curvaceous figures despite her height. She always wears black colored outfits with some colorful clothes. Starting in season 2, Matilda later tied her hair in a low ponytail or in a bun.

Personality
In spite of her height, Matty is a tough, no-nonsense individual who values the people that works for her. While she does not like people questioning her authority, she does value other people's opinions and ideas, even if it means she is wrong. This trait is how Bozer earned her respect after feeling that their investigation was going in the wrong direction. She takes her role as Head of the Phoenix Foundation seriously, interviewing each of the team members to get feel for their personal character when she first started working there and how best use her agents skill-sets to the best of their ability. However, she does have a sense of humor and insists the team to call her by her name, instead of 'Director' or 'Ma'am'.
However, a notable trait of Matty's is that she does not approve of improvisation in the field. This comes from hard experience as any agent she worked with who relied on luck has ended up dead. This led to an unintended source of tension between her and MacGyver, who regularly improvises in the field to achieve his missions. Matty does like Mac personally and his character, but rather she fears that if he relies too much on his methods of improvising will get him hurt or worse. Nevertheless, she gives him the opportunity to prove that his methods work in the field.
