Serenity is the 12th episode of Season 5 in the original version of MacGyver.
Summary[]
Exhausted from being overworked, MacGyver falls asleep watching an old western. He dreams that he is in the Old West where he encounters Murdoc and Pete who conspire to force MacGyver off his land.
Trivia[]
Wilt Bozer's addressing Mac as "pilgrim" and asking sarcastically what type of milk he wants is an obvious reference to John Wayne, since Wayne addresses someone as "pilgrim" in two of his westerns, and is also associated with the famous line, "Get off your horse and drink your milk." Actually, though, The Duke never said this in any of his movies.
Peter Thornton's ranch is called Fire Eagle Ranch, in reference to Peter working for the Phoenix Foundation.
Goofs[]
Penny Parker singing very poorly in the voice message to MacGyver is in direct contradiction to her much higher quality vocalizing in "Cleo Rocks," season 4, episode 9.
