The Merchant is a Codex member who blackmails soccer players to sabotage teams to profit off gambling.
Biography[]
His name is Clive.
He worked as the merchant for Codex. He tried to blackmail football/soccer players in order to sabotage teams to profit off in gambling. He later tried to blackmail Desi when she joined but that failed. He talked to the head of Codex on the first floor of a football stadium. This person was manipulated by an Estonian ip address to look like it was Matty. (Soccer + Desi + Merchant + Titan)
He was captured and taken to a prison cell to be interrogated. The team set up a fake cell by the Phoenix Foundation Foundation in order to manipulate him into thinking it was something else. His "cellmate" was Angus MacGyver to talk to in order to reduce his inhibitions. He was smart enough to realize this was a ruse and found out it was fake, and made up stories and talked to him and, even offering a role. However, his intel was fake and had several triggers on the internet to start a rescue mission. The rescue team arrived via helicopter and broke into the building of the Phoenix building and broke him out; he was put into a car and he called Titan. That was an act by the Phoenix foundation as well; but that was an act as well, as they were fake; Bozer and Henry were fake security guards in the car, the rescue team was captured before they entered, and he gave Titan's phone location away to the Pheonix foundation. Returned to a cell, he was confronted by MacGyver, whose beliefs were shaken by what he said. (Psy-Op + Cell + Merchant + Birds)
